Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive. Don't ask again.

PCR-RNA tests are known to throw false positive because of their sensitivity. They are harder tests to run and are not standalone tests. Meaning they have to be used in conjunction with an antibody test and the cost of having a PCR-RNA test done.

oh got that ,no test is conclussive before 3 months.so a duo taken at 28 days is better than pcr taken a week from exposure.i was thinking of taking pcr test

It is not. AGAIN 3 MONTH ANTIBODY TEST IS THE ONLY CONCLUSIVE TEST.

The Duo at 28 days is a very good test because it looks for antigens and the peek time is at about 28 days. But that does not mean it is conclusive, it still has to be followed up with an antibody test at 3 MONTHS.

Take a test at the 6 week. You should be fine. 6 week negative changing ahead is pretty unlikely. 4 week is certainly encouraging.

Any antibody test will be conclusive at 3 months post exposure.

There are no tests marketed or sold to give a conclusive negative test earlier than 3 months post exposure.

should you get tested?

you had condom failure...OF COURSE you should get tested.

a duo at 28 days or an antibody test at 6 week will give you a very good indication of your status.  follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result
