How likely is it that I'm infected?

I had heterosexual sex with a call girl on Sunday.  Oral sex, deep french kissing and used a condom.  I thought the condom was on, but apparently it came off inside her.  She said some things that made me concerned that she might be hiv positive.  By Wednesday I had a sore throat and by Friday I had a swollen lymph gland in my neck.  How concerned should I be that I'm now infected?

She used the condom to protect herself against you and others, otherwise why would she waste the money on a condom if she was positive? The only way to know is to test her but if that can't be done, you can take a duo test after 4 weeks. It isn't easy to get HIV from a woman and you don't have ARS (see below) so try to relax because nothing is pointing towards you having HIV.

Everyone posts here about their ARS symptoms, but so far since I have been here, none have had ARS. They don't manifest for weeks so yours aren't ARS either. You interact with others so sore throats and colds are to be expected. You wouldn't be able to diagnose swollen lymph and they swell for lots of reasons including because of a cold, which is why HIV doctors don't diagnose based on symptoms so you shouldn't try to do that either because it will just lead to unnecessary stress.
