i need some peace of mind
10.5 weeks ago i had a 1 time encounter at an asian massage parlor. a condom was in fact used but i dont know how efficent. to my knowledge it didnt break but then again im not sure. on the 8th week i started to feel run down and had swollen glands. i went to the doctor and he did an hiv test and a mono. the mono came back positive and negative for hiv. so i had peace of mind. i felt fine then two weeks later i started to feel run down tired and sore all over. i then developed a white tongue and seem to have red spots along each side. this is what made me nervous. my hands started to sweat and seem to develop a rash as of late on the palms of my hands but im thinking it might be my nerves. on the 10 week i went to get an hiv and another mono test done and they both came back negative. this is also making me nervous becuase i thought mono stays in your body forever. DR HHH i need some peace of mind. my doctor put me on the sterioud pretazone when he found out i had mono and im hoping that is the cause of my dry tongue/hands. my negative test at 8 and 10 weeks are reassuring and i keep trying to keep that in mind. and since it was only a one time exposure i read your stats on 1/2000 and such. if you have an opportunity can you just ***** my situation with my symptoms and the fact i tested positive at 8 and 10 weeks. i would just like you to tell me if the steriods is causing my dry mouth and not OHL or thrush and my actual chances of contacting hiv through this encounter. thank you dr HHH you site has been very helpful
could some shed some light into this i am just worried becuase my mouth as a white coating on the tongue and seem to have raised red dots on the sides of my toungue... is this a sign of hiv?
but what if the condom wasnt used correctly or to my knowledge might have broke.. would OHL start on the 10th week or is that a later stage. my question was would the prestazone cause my cotton like tongue and corner of my tongue to have red spots. Teak i have read many of your posted and i wanna thank you for what you do on this site. but woudl these symptoms wait till the 8 or 10th week to happen? was this considered a high risk? should i wait a week and get another 12 week test?
