Hello everyone.
I took an ELISA test last year and it was 7 months after exposure. When I went to get the result they told me it was positive but that it had to be tested again for confirmation and they told me to go back tomorrow. I think I aged a whole year that night but I will not bore you with the drama. Anyway the next day I went back for my result and they told me it was negative.
The lab said they did the confirmatory test with ELISA again and if it had turned out positive again then they would have tested it with WESTERN BLOT. They said the reason for the false positive was contamination. I also had a HEP B vaccine 6 days before the test. I don't know if that could have been the cause either.
To this day I still don't know which is the conclusive result. The first positive or the second negative??????
