Then the white spot on my right tonsil diminished (after 2 days) but right tonsil was bit swollen and the mouth was dry but white spot on left remained ... And my throat was dry it was hard to make salaiva... Then i tested hiv 1/2 rapid test it came negative on 16th april that is 4 weeks .. But my throat changed through out the month some times it tenders a bit and sometimea a little pain in throat and the swollen right tonsil and white spot was still there.. Now on 28 th april 6 weeks i took the same test and was negative.. But i also had rash around 25 all over my body they were red and small .... The rash were there on 22 april and most of them went away on 8 days but 2-3 arw still there non itchy..

My chances are really bad ... As i was at very high risk... As the girl was a sex worker... I am goin for elisa on 14 th april hope it comes negative..it will be 55 days post exposure..

Please help... Teak can you tell me something about my symptoms ... Alsoi had night sweats in march and fatigue...

The virus is too complected to be understood..  HUH?  The virus is perfectly understood by the scientific community, which is how things like the window period were formulated.

also when i chat now they try to tell me some ******** about Hiv that it hides for many years and then attacks they are well educated and doing this..! .  You need to "chat" with different people.

I am not a paranoid its just that my symptoms match exactly to the Hiv symptoms and they are not like other worry well's tell that i have sore throat & fatigue headache etc... mine are like you can see...   You and MILLIONS of other people who also were convinced they had HIV, only to test negative, with their "symptoms" being attributed to some other, garden-variety bacterial or viral infection.

Dear vance i do know and have read many places that Hiv window period is 3 months..! But isn't it is safe to test a bit longer as in my case ..!   NO, there is NO need for you to test longer than 3 months.

And after reading on forums that those who tested +ve had the same things that i am having & they had these tonsil issues going on until they were taken off by surgery ..!   You are spending WAY too much time on the internet, reading about HIV, increasing your anxiety.

We cannot keep repeating ourselves.  We've told you that 3 months is conclusive. If you want to waste your time, energy and money testing beyond that, that is your choice.  There is no reason for us to continue this conversation.  Kindly move along.

Believe me buddy I had all the symptoms in the world. They don't mean anything!!! I wasted almost 4 months not believing my 12 week test. Just test at 12 weeks and move on

If they believe this statement, " Hiv that it hides for many years and then attacks they are well educated and doing this..!" then they are not well educated or you misunderstood what they were saying.

Dear vance i do know and have read many places that Hiv window period is 3 months..! But isn't it is safe to test a bit longer as in my case ..!

See i had exposure from africa from where hiv originated & all the strains are from africa only .. in africa if you ask any doctor they will say test at 3 & then 6 months is a must..!

I am not a paranoid its just that my symptoms match exactly to the Hiv symptoms and they are not like other worry well's tell that i have sore throat & fatigue headache etc... mine are like you can see...

No doctor will give Amoxicillin to a worried well right .... i have taken a bunch of antibiotics for more than a month it is not going .... and its not sever sore throat its mild but with swollen tonsil.. they look bad..!

One thing i hate about was when i got this throat i asked 3-4 people from africa only and they seemed happy about it .. also when i chat now they try to tell me some ******** about Hiv that it hides for many years and then attacks they are well educated and doing this..!

This 12 week window period is will extend if i get +ve in my next test's..
because i am having my tonsil with white stuff and ..sore throat and it just started after 15-18 days after my risssskk..! And it is still there my tonsil hurts and i got holes in my tonsils after 1- 1 1/2 months later which are having white stuff inside now a days and it hurts ....
also i don't have a answer to the rash i had for 8-10 days which was all over my body .. in total 25-30 small red (pinkish) dots.  mostly on shoulder's..

And after reading on forums that those who tested +ve had the same things that i am having & they had these tonsil issues going on until they were taken off by surgery ..!
And also most of the people i have seen are confused that when they got it because they have lots of sex.... that is why the window period is not correct i think...

I don't think that they had a person who went to doctor & had sex after many years & then tested positive with a antibody test within 3 months or so after a exposure on a known date.... the window period is seen 3 months for those who test every 3 months while doing sex every day.... and when they get symptoms they test +ve without knowing their infection date ....

I am also having this continuous vibration in my left feet .. guess stress will not give pain, rash & vibration ( like dog doing grrrr )  ..  it can not because i have not been stressed .. while i am working in office suddenly this vibration starts and stays there for hours....

It will be good if i test out till 6 months & i am going for a HIV 1/2 PCR test may be next week..! but still confused .... who knows what strain i might have got from  AFRICA .!! may be not discovered yet ( as i know the girl told me she became a sex worker because her BF & child of 4 yrs died due to illness )  may be she is coping with the virus as an Elite controller ..... and also their is no why to know when infection happened looking at the viral load .....

And one more thing i have not seen a single person on nay forum who is +ve for HIV 2.... that makes me more concerned .... as only few strains are  their in US & UK not all of them....

The virus is too complected to be understood..  And when HCV has a window period of 6 months why not 6 months or more for  Hiv being a intelligent virus ....!

What is it no doctor has been able to diagnose me just hand me over a bunch of antibiotics ( tired of taking antibiotic all the time.)) .... are they qualified enough or the virus is too intelligent..!

6 month test is useless when you have a conclusive test in hand.

You don't need to test at 6 months, you've been reading this forum long enough to know that 3 months is conclusive.  Your resut is conclusive...you do not have HIV.  You are done, you don't need to test again.

Also, you should not be answering questions on the forum, when you don't have any knowledge about HIV.  You are posting on your own thread, inaccurate info I might add...so how are you going to give correct advice?

"Move on" means...get on with your life....stop searching the web and stop hanging around on HIV forums.  You aren't doing anything but fueling your anxiety by doing that.

CBC will not tell you anything about your HIV status. Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive.

4 week Rapid Ab = -ve ( 31 days )
6 week Rapid Ab = -ve ( 42 days )
8 week Ab/Ag combo CMIA = 0.21 ( 56 days )
10 week Ab/Ag combo CMIA = 0.09 ( 72days )
combo test done at same lab ..
why this value went down when done in the same lab??
that means p24 is getting undetectable ??
with all the symptoms i had with a cbc of having elevated wbc at 50 days..

1. symptoms i am having as of today are :- tingling sensation in left feet that is continuous ..
2. dry throat with white spots inside cheeks..
I had almost every symptom that is there in the list of acute HIV symptom still -ve ?? i don't know if these laboratory guys are performing the test's correctly..!
very tensed..!
now what is the possibility of this result changing in next 18 days ??( considering my cbc and my symptoms and decrease in index value fron 0.21 to 0.09 )

You are overthinking this.  Quit worrying about what is what with different tests, how they work, etc.  ALL you need to do is take a test at 3 months, and move on.  You are CAUSING more anxiety by continuing to search the web about HIV and testing.

It is a good idea to maybe consider getting some help for your anxiety.  That would be a better thing to focus on.  With all of the negative results you have received thus far, the chance of you testing + at 3 months is practically non existant.

i know that testing after 3 months is not required .. its just the brain.!
finally my trip has been postponed for some time now i will be able to test at three months mark before i leave my country.. if i find myself negative i will be able to work properly on my project ..its such a relief because if i would have been there before three months result i would have been in trouble for next 3 months.. !

And Teak why these PCR viral load test are not conclusive since the test looks for the viral load in the body.. And also it is said that during window period the viral load is high.! So if someones viral load is more than it tells that the person is infected ?? I don't know about it that much please can you tell me..

Testing is not required post 3 months result, 6 months is your choice if you have a heavy valet. I suggest you donate that money instead..

Your doctor is not an HIV specialist and knows nothing about HIV window periods. He is extending the window period for nothing. He's a goose.

In an adult, a positive HIV antibody test result means that the person is infected, a person with a negative or inconclusive result may be in the “window for 4 to 6 weeks but occasionally up to 3 months after HIV exposure. Persons at high risk who initially test negative should be retested 3 months after exposure to confirm results

Print it off and give it to your doctor and tell him to get with the program.
