Teak or anyone else educated on HIV please answer!

How long does ARS last and when does it come? --- most importantly the rash
also, Dr. Handsfield mentions that ARS is almost always accompanied by fever. Is this true?

Why does groups like the CDC recommend testing out to 6 months while on this forum, its recommended to 3 months? Who is right?

The CDC themselves have changed to 3 months. The person you spoke to was reading from an old manual or didn't know what he was talking about.

Thanks Teak.

Just one follow up. Why does organizations like the CDC say 6 months? I called them the other day and the guy on the phone was insistent that I need to test out to 6 months.

This question has been answered over and over.
ARS if on does have it comes at 2-4 weeks post exposure. Symptoms will last from 1-2 weeks. The guidelines for test is 3 months post exposure not 6 months.
