should i get tested?

i know a lot of people have asked this but i think my situation is different. i was in a relationship for 2 years and both me and my partner were virgins. we did not have other partners at the time we were dating but once we broke up we did have a sex one time when we were not together and i didn't know for sure if she had another partner. i did not use a condom for a short period of time but then used one later on. i did not have sex with anyone else but her. she did get tested a year later for not just hiv but all the other STD's and everything came out negative. so would i have to get tested? if this makes a difference we were at the ages of 16-17 at the time and we live in tucson arizona?

thanks for that stat but is less then that i did look up the number of people with hiv since 2007 from where i live and there was a Very small amount living with hiv/aids in my age group about 30 or 40 cases total. so sum it all up now i think about it my risk of hiv is like winning the lottery 5 times in a row lol. yea once again sorry for wasting your time but i apprecite yours and everyone elses answer

i dont have doubts at all anymore i did at one point but that was when i first thought about the whole thing which was a year ago. i just wanted to know from other ppl who have more experice with these situations have to say if i should get tested. the way i see it is that if i was at risk she would have tested positive. like i said we were both each others 1st and never cheated on each other. but yea if u wasted your time by all of this i apologize.

The prevalence of HIV in women in Pima County is less than 1 in 1000.

And anyway it doesn't matter; she tested negative.

You don't sound like you are at risk but since you obviously have doubts then why not test.

well i mean i guess what im trying to figure out is that are my chances of having hiv are 0? i mean it does sound silly because once again she was the only person i had unprotected sex with and we both didn't have other partners and like i said it makes a bigger difference that she did get tested a year later. Also once again where i live could make a huge difference also. lol i freak out about the littlest things

I would not worry about HIV due to the fact of her test result 1 year later if you can trust her that she was telling the truth.
