Yes you would need to test again, your 3 month test would be conclusive.
Heres the same thing I just posted to someone else with basically the same question: I read either from the rapid HIV test website or from the CDC (point is I only go by reliable websites for important info) that although the window period is 3 months, in some cases it can take up to 6 months, however, the average has been observed at 25 days. So your probably fine, after 3 months I'd feel 99.9% sure you didn't have it if I were you.
Oh ya and here's the definition of Window period: time between first infection and when the test can reliably detect that infection.
6 months has not been used in several years...3 months is conclusive.
This guy gave me a hickey on my neck and kissed my lips and he also fingered my genitals and I think he had his pre semen or semen on them. I could've gotten his semen on my vulva(labia majora and labia minora and possibly on my perineum). Will I get infected with HIV this way? I don't know his status but let's say he is positive. Then?

I have a question.. Has there been cases that u might have heard of where someone tested +ve.. after testimg -ve after 10.5 weeks post single exposure?
Plenty of stories does it happen? It's rare..
If there were no cases of someone turning positive after 10.5 weeks, the window period would be 10.5 weeks.
It's not, it is 12 weeks.
Test on January 5 for a conclusive result.
Ok thanks.. i will get tested at 12 week mark - dec 30th.
