6 month cardio checkup for Amber

Hi everyone,
Amber had a checkup on Friday..  dr was kind of shocked when he listened to her heart and it almost sounded like a normal rythym  hehehe.....   we should have bnp levels back on monday (also a dig level)    will probably have a holter next week to see if pac's are still in the 20,000+ range and to check amount of svt....   IF the bnp is still good and IF the amount pac and svt are still high he MAY look into finding the reason...  will have an echo to check if ef is still holding at 42....  the big ?? has always been if aneurysmal bulge at mitral-aortic junction is the cause and if it is do they try surgical intervention...   now that she has been stable for a year they will look at it again as he feels she may not stay this stable for the long term  (he said it is great that she is doing well but when she gets closer to maxing out on meds she may not stay that way)    also.. she doing great on her own with a lot of support from independent living agencies in her county (and mom of course!!)    will keep u posted       dawn

Meals on Wheels would be great for her, all the visiting with folks. Will she be in the kitchen making the meals or traveling about with a co-worker to deliver? I haven't met her but I imagine her joy and smiles would brighten up any home bound person's day. Good for her.

I'm glad to hear she doing so well - her heart is behaving a bit better and she's enjoying her new place. Doctors are always looking under the rocks for problems but that's their job. Like Ian said, don't anticipate problems. Wait for the doctors to continue to be puzzled by her improvement. :-)  Hugs to you both.   Irene
