Chest Pain

I have had 1 stent and still have chest pain. Resently had another cath it was negative. Why do I have the pain ? I have negative GI test, stress test and echo. I know something is still wrong.
I have  pian in my chest and mid upper back this is relieved by nitro. The sysptoms stopped after the first stent now they are back but the cath report was good.
Should I just forget this or is it a reason to be concerned?
Thanks mjm00

Do not ignore the symptoms. There is a real symptom of chest pain/angina, especially in women that involve the microvessels of the heart that either spasm or do not open when you exert yourself, even a little. Little is known about this condition but it is well documented as to its occurrence and it is being researched to find out why this happens in a person with clear coronary arteries. No cath can see this so it is real important to keep going to your doctor and being sure that you keep nitro handy, have a calcium channel blocker drug taken daily and watch your exertion level. You also need to be very careful about not having these tiny, tiny heart vessels get placque involved.Read my journal here at 'joanincarolina'. Hope this helps. Joan.

I think you may be experiencing a very common problem in people with CAD. Even though they have been stented or bypassed, they continue to contradict test results by having angina. It is still not really understood why people would suffer angina when they have nice clear arteries.
