Chest Pains-ER No Help

Last weekend I had been having chest pains for almost 2 weeks, so I finally went to the ER to get some test done. EKG was normal, blood work was normal, and I just had an echo done 1 1/2 months ago and my cardiologist says everything looks good.  They also checked my gallbladder through the blood work.  Nitro didn't help the chest pains either.  After 13 hours they send me home, said they didn't know what it was and basically said good-luck.  I am still getting these pains, which go through to my back.  My family doctor has given me some meds for an ucler, thinking that may be it.  The doctor in the er said that there may be a small partial blockage in the arteries of my heart, but nothing substancial.  Has anyone else gone through a similar situation and can provide me with some guidance about what I should do next?

I hope your right!  Thanks for your reply. I have only been on the ulcer meds for 2 days, so I'll see how that goes!

Pain for 2 weeks, nitro doesn't help and all your heart tests are clear, it's probably not your heart (sigh a breath of relief). However, gastric problems can cause ongoing pain right in the center of your chest. Reflux (stomach acid backing up) can cause pain in the esophagus and it feels really bad. See how the meds  work for the possible ulcer. Hope it helps.
