True! Some doctors or their machines give false information. I am an officer in the Armt; I do heavy physical training everyday for 2 or more hours, I had done a stress test in April right after my last deployment and my heart was pronounced in a Very Healthy condition at 39 but this morning, some civilian contractor doctor tells me I'm not deplorable because of done funny EKG reading; I'm meeting with a cardiology next week

You probably will not see this now that it has been a couple of years since the post but I find I have to write anyway. Two years ago I had the same thing happen to me at my doctors office. Went in feeling great. Even told them I felt "fit as a horse" that day. Since I had not had insurance for 7 years I had not been to a doctor other than regular female exams at the woman's clinic. As soon as I got insurance again I went for the physical. Well next thing I know they were telling me my EKG showed at some time in the past year I had had a heart attack. WHAT??? NO  I said. I have not had any heart attack. They kept insisting I had. A bit latter they did another one and said I had AFIB. WHAT AGAIN??? Wrong! When the doctor would not back down I went to my cardiologist at Loma Linda Heart Institute and had a full work up and guess what? NO HEART ATTACK NO AFIB! in fact he found nothing wrong except that 20 years from now (at age 82)  I might need a valve replacement. No blockages, heart is strong. After spending $2,800.00, two letters from the Cardiologist and a year later my doctor reversed that heart attack diagnoses. Now today I had to have another EKG because of an upcoming surgery on my knee and guess what. Same doctor insisting the EKG is showing something. What, I am not certain yet but after being with this DR for over 15 years I find myself finding another Primary doctor.

EKG requires further evidence of a heart condition as there are many false positives.  If you have had a heart attack, and if there was heart muscle damage of any significance, you would have shortness of breath, muscle fatigue, fluid build up in the lungs (will cause dry coughing) peripheral edema, etc.

It is possible to have had a heart attack without symptoms until there is heart failure.  Heart failure has the symptoms shown in the other paragraph.

A little more than 6 years ago I had the sympoms of heart failure and no warning of a heart issue.  It is estimated that about 26% of the heart disorder population isn't aware they have had a heart attack...no symptoms...the condition is medically referred to as a silent heart attack.

If you had a heart attack, and you don't now have the symptoms of heart failure, you may recover completely with therapy.  I know how you feel.  I was copmpletely in shock when admitted to emergency care and told I had had a heart attack and in congested heart failure range...heart not able to pump adequately enough to meet the blood/oxygen demand.  The heart was enlarged and the heart was only pumping about 29% of the blood received from the lungs.  Therapy has normalized heart size and the heart is pumping 59%...I have not had any heart related events for the past 6 years as regular checkups have shown

Thanks for sharing, and if you have any further questions, you are welcome to respond.  Take care and don't worry.  The fact you are not experiencing any symptoms is a plus, and the EKG has a high rating for false positives. Take care.
