The condition is not problematic unless the tortuosity causes high resistence for the heart to pump against.  This can/will increase heart chamber size that could effect adequate heart contractions and possibly irregular heartbeats...worst case scenario.  Sometimes the condition is the result of high blood pressure.  Control of blood pressure may prevent any progression.

It means your aorta twists abnormally.  I don't know much about it.  I know it is associated with some conditions like Loeys Dietz Syndrome (very bad).  But I don't know that this is necessary true; it can be associated with something else or nothing at all.  Ask the doctor who diagnosed it.
