If the passing out is due to low HR it's a different situation than passing out due to a high HR. The reason I suggest getting this checked out is if someone doesn't know what is causing the syncope. It sounds like you know what is causing your son's syncope and that you believe a pacemaker is needed and the cardiologist isn't ready to do that yet. Has your son been put on medications to try to combat the problem? Is that why the doctor wants to wait, or does he/she just need a certain golden number of fainting episodes before your son gets a pacemaker? Are you convinced a pacemaker is the only option?
please tell that to my son's cardiologist. this has been going on for 4 years and just this past Feb. he started to pass out he had test done and they want him to pass out 2-3 more times before they consider putting in a pacemaker. he has passed out once and near passing out with a low HR 45-48

Heart problems and fainting or near fainting is not a good combination. I recommend contacting your doctor, especially if you've noticed any rapid beat or palpitations when the lightheadeness/presyncope occurs. Did you mean May 2008 or do you mean that for over the past year they haven't been able to diagnose your heart condition? You said, May 2007. That seems odd to me that it would take that long. Good luck!
It depends on what your heart issues are.
you can pass out for any reason, however if you are passing out or near passing out I would put a call into my doctor to let them know, especially if you have some cardiac issues
good luck
