ECG Results

Hi ... I've been having angina pains since last year and I've been using nitros. My 1st result last year showed all was okay. After a while the angina pains ceased. About 2 weeks ago, it resumed with greater intensity. I did another ECG test and the result before exercise shows: Sinus Rhythm, Left Atrial Abnormality
After exercise, the result showed: Irregular Rhythm, No P-wave found and Right Bundle Branch Block.

I'm worried please

To give you some insight of  the EKG output, and what the computerized analysis can indicate. The EKG software has indicated an irregular rhythm with exertion and possible cause....that is the abnormal issue with the EKG analysis and requires a differential anayisis of the irregular rhythm by your doctor..

Several rhythm disorders that are identified by the absence or abnormal appearance of P waves.
•Premature atrial contractions. These are early extra beats that originate in the atria (upper chambers of the heart). They are harmless and do not require treatment.
•Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). These are among the most common arrhythmias and occur in people with and without heart disease. This is the skipped heartbeat we all occasionally experience.  THIS may PERTAIN to your situation:  In some people, it can be related to stress, too much caffeine or nicotine, or too much exercise

The EKG indicates there may be right bundle branch block (RBBB) causing an irregular rhythm.  Right Bundle Branch Block (RBBB) is a delay or complete block of the electrical impulse as it travels the pathways from the sinus node (origin of the pulse rate) to the ventricles. Can cause occasional skipped or extra beats and not uncommon condition and harmless.

EKG an abnormal left atrium.  That could be a cause of a rhythm disorder, if the abnormal condition relates to an enlarged atrium.

Why? If it's a high level of potassium, it's simply medication to resolve it.

Well, it appears you have some electrical impulse problems in your heart. The Pwave is the depolarization of the Atria, this is when the two small chambers at the top of the heart squeeze together to ensure the ventricles are filled with blood. For this to be a very low reading you could be suffering from hyperkalemia. This is when you have far too much Potassium in the blood which is an electrolyte. I think your Doctor will check your blood and if your Potassium is too high, the problem will need to be found. It could be a kidney malfunction and not removing the excess.
