Pericarditis?

I have had recurrent palpitations for several months. I have been completely checked out by a cardiologist. No heart problems have been found. More recently, I have had constant chills, night sweats, and more palpitations plus I have noticed red spots on my palms and a large bleed under one of my toenails. All my bloodwork is within normal range. Could I have an infection in the lining of my heart? I had rheumatic fever as a young child, mononucleosis as a teenager, and gum disease requiring surgery. Has something been missed?
