Treadmill test results ?

hello, I have had a treadmill test and am awaiting the results , I have heard the results are based on lots of different factors , but my question is ? , when a treadmill test is complete does the person doing the test calculate your time at when you reach 85% of you heart rate or the final time when you stop the test ?, in my case that was 100% , any info on this would be great , kind regards

Well "your time" will just be however long you lasted, regardless of what your HR was. Generally, they just want to make sure you last long enough to get to 85% max because not getting to that point doesn't show them what the heart is doing when you are really working hard. You obviously did just fine getting up to your expected max HR, so they will be able to properly ***** your heart function when it's at max effort.
The results will be looking for ischemia, which is a lack of oxygen. The most common causes of this are clogged arteries or fibrosis (scarring, usually from a previous heart attack). If you took this test it was probably because you were feeling some kind of chest pain or other heart related symptoms, so they are looking to see if you are at risk for a heart attack or cardiac arrest. They will assess any significant arrhythmias you had while on your run, as well as during the cool down after. They will also look for ST segment depression or elevation, or any major changes from baseline as this can be a major sign of ischemia. If you come back negative for that stuff you probably don't have an ischemic heart. If you do they will probably look into your cholesterol, your blood sugar, hypertension, your weight, exercise, diet, etc, etc, and try to get you on a better track. I'm not sure if you did a stress echo, or just a standard echo, but if it was a stress echo they would have also been looking to see how well your systolic and diastolic function were working during the test.
