I can understand your frustration having just received 5 fillings yesterday. The problem with tooth decay is the amount of bacteria that is present in the mouth. Rotted teeth give the bacteria an opportunity to work itself into the root structures of the teeth and into the bloodstream. These infections can cause damage to heart valves and even dilation of the heart itself. This only happens in VERY, VERY rare instances but is possible.

I don't know much about the medical system in the UK, but here most medical clinics will refer you to a public dentist as well if there is a threat to one's health. I guess you need to make some calls to your public health authorities and see if they can point you in th right direction. I would get these issues resolved, it's not worth taking the chance.

Good luck,

Jon

First of all stop worrying because that won’t help a bit. It is hard to say if at all or what kind of complications might you have in the future if your teeth are staying as you said they are.   For in my opinion it doesn’t make any different if  you or we speculate on your teeth and heart.:) The point is you must get them fixed, sooner or later. Many people telling they are afraid from the dentist, and I can sympathize with that statement.  But more I believe it is with the cost of the service that is scary!!
For those who have no insurance and poor it is simply a rubbery.
If I was you: would check all dental truism opportunity. I know one thing nearest in you in Hungary you can find many good dentists (online) much cheaper then your price in the UK, and they are happy to give their service to people out of the country too.

  Good luck!
