Palpatations

I had fast palpatations in Nov of last year and my doctor put me on Metoprolol 25 milligrams and it appeared to cure that , however a year since now my blood pressure is like 116/62 with a pulse rate of 48-52 and am experiencing paused even skipped pulse beats.
I had an ECG done and an EKG.................EKG was perfect but the ECG  showed palpatations of 785.1 which made my doctor send me to get a holter montor on and wear 24 hrs and write down when the episodes take place, which I have on presently.
I am and have been under alot of stress since my sons heart problems . I have had all my bloodwork and scans and any tests done and all  are always negative from top to bottom.
I was diagnosed many years ago with Fibro and my estrogen is in the high normal range and of course the stress, so other than a real heart condition ,could anything else be going on if the heart tests come back good?

I am going through menopause and have lower palps during hot flashes and my estrogen level was 118 last week when I had it checked.
My PCP made me do a 24 hour holter monitor, which showed 6000 premature beats in the time I had the holter monitor on and now recommends I go see a cardiologist which i have an appt for.
Is there a possibility when you have high estrogen leves and fibromyalgia that this could be the reason for the palps?

Somestimes beta blockers can actually bring the palps out more because they slow the HR down. Other times they make the palps very hard to feel. Everyone reacts differently.

If you have had all the tests and they have come back good (which it sounds as though they have) then you very well could just have benign skips. Many of us here have them, some come from the top of the heart, others the bottom but in a healthy heart, both are benign.

You are doing the right thing getting checked out. This way you can find out exactly what kind of skips you are having and can move on with your life. They are rather common in people of ages.
