ekg

My husband had an ekg and the Dr. suggested that the bottom of his heart looked like he might have had a small heart attack could there be damage enough for surgery or could medicine take care of this.  He is trying to get a job and they won't let him start unless he gets a good stress test.

There is a change from your other post>>>"might have had a heart attack and there could be damage!"  If there is heart cell damage from a prior MI, surgery is not an option.  Requires correction/treatment of the underlying cause to the heart attack and that would include medication.

An ekg is not a decisive dx, it requires further tests to substantiate.  Reqarding a prior heart attack and any heart cell damage requires an echo, stress test, etc.
