high pulse pressure

any danger where the difference between systolic & diastolic pressure is more than 70?./..    I am 82 y/o & am taking several antihypertensive meds resulting in high pulse pressure ,  anything to be concerned about?

A high pulse rate higher than 60 (if sustained) frequently indicates hardening of the arteries.  How high is your systole number?

yes, sorry to say but unfortunately a high pulse pressure carries the greatest risk for an 82 yr old.

That's what is said by the American JC-7 guidelines.

When you get to be 92, a recent study says then strangely enough a high homocysteine was the best predictor of adverse events.
