There are natural ways to decrease blood pressure and that includes proper diet with minimum salt (sodium), aerobic exercise and life style without tobacco, alcohol, no aggrevating lifesyle with smoking, etc or contraindicated medication. That could keep your BP normal.
Heart rate and sudden jump may be related to the sympathic system and or thyroid. You should have an evaluation for that as a fast heart rate can be dangerous. A fast heart rate can impede adequate blood filling and cause heart failure and heart attack, Also, a fast heart rate can cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and cause cardiac arrest.
