You want to see a reduction in your heart rate of 12 beats per min after peak exercise and a return to normal within 2 hours. I know that when I work out, I always watch for proper heart rate response both warming up and cooling down. There have been links to stunted heart rate response and heart disease, but everyone is different. What is normal for you may not be normal for me. You should mention this to your doctor and see if they feel additional test are necessary.

Hope this helps,

Jon

Be sure slow down on the end. I always finished my running with walk. Never stoped suddenly after run.  Also be sure you do the deep breathing.  I used to do a few yoga breathings after running. I am not running anymore, stopped 2 years ago. But I don’t know if your pulse rate number is normal or not, I think it is, if you do not feel bad.
