Do i have a heart problem?

hello, for whatever reason (maybe anxiety) i think i have a heart problem, from 4-5 years ago to this day i get random heart palpitations, sometimes i get them daily, sometimes i dont get them for months. I have had 2 ECG's, in which the results were normal. I also had an echocardiogram, they said my heart is contracting very well, however the blood flow in one of the valves sped up momentarily (whatever that means).. So i had a chat with the cardiologist, he said hes sure that theres nothing wrong and to carry on with life, but just to rule out anything il be having a heart MRI scan done soon.

My question in short: Is an ECG, echocardiogram, and heart MRI scan enough tests to rule out any heart problems, especially something that could cause sudden cardiac arrest?

The reason i post this now is the past 2-3 days, i have had dull pains in my heart area, the pains will start out of the blue and go away by themselves too. This happens 3-4 times a day, and the pain usually lasts a maximum of 30 mins, but the pain sort of pulsates, it goes away and comes back..

thanks

Oh and im a 20 year old male, with 1 family member had a stroke (the doctors could not figure out why this happened, that person made a full recovery.) and my father had a very minor heart attack at the age of 60 years old. No other history of any other illnesses.

Hi. I have the same thing paputations. I been to the Dr about it and they can't seem to fine anything wrong with my heart they did a EKG on me and then listened to my heart and said that  everything was fine and it sounded grate just had a off rethem but nothing seriuse. I am 20 years old not in the best shape I could be in I'm a few pounds over weight I don't smoke or drank. Most the time the paputations happen at night when I lay down. I'm

thinking its food related or something I'm drinking to much
of.

A few month ago I went to the Dr to do blood work. When I got my test results back the Dr said my thyroid count was a little low. I went back again this time it was for the paputations and I asked the Dr could I do blood work again to check my thyroid levels and he said no need for that and sent me on my way he also checked my for testicler cancerhe did not tell me if everything was OK or not he just said hmm.

Hi there,

To find the cause for your symptoms:  you go through the process of elimination.

It would be safe to say that after all the heart tests that you've had, you can cancel your heart out as the culprit for your symptoms.

You should go and see a Gastro Enterologist and check for Gallbladder disease or digestive problems.  I had Gallstones for almost 5 years (also young like you and no risk factors except for family history) and eventually got it diagnosed and removed.

Unfortunately it is going to mean that you have to see a few other Doctors and get referrals, but it is worth it in the end if you have a true diagnoses and get treatment for it.

All the best and keep us updated, okay :)
