Thanks for your comment I recall a similar conversation in the past. I want to continue using this product because my hairs starting to thin out and it was working for me. If anyone knows if this is a safe product please share.
Rogaine (minoxidil), originally an oral blood pressure medication that was found to increase hairiness in some people, is now OTC as a hair restoring liquid or foam. It does work in many cases.
The literature says that it has almost a purely local effect, and very, very little of it is absorbed from the skin. Nevertheless--in theory--it could cause some changes in BP and dizziness as a result.
I have first degree heart block, and it produces such a minor change in conduction of the electrical impulse that it is generally considered almost totally benign; that is, without any negative effects in an otherwise healthy heart.
You can google phrases like 'rogaine and dizziness,' and you will find that a lot of websites will address the question. If you remain concerned and continue having dizziness, it would be good to talk to your doc, who will probably reassure you.
Is Rogaine a prescription treatment? If it is you should discuss with the doctor prescribing - any doctor writing a prescription must know all your health issues and other medication.
If not a prescription I'd suggest (same really for a prescription) to look at the side effect listed and available on the "web". If any mention of heart disease is made I'd suggest you either stop using the treatment or discuss further with your doctor.
Did you try a search on "Rogaine and heart disease" or "..and AV Block"?
