I am actually on a regular asprin but when I was on Warfarin I took the low-dose.
Sounds like good progress to me.
I'd guess your cardiologist will want you to take some stroke prevention measures, maybe just a low dose aspirin. I have no stomach or other problems with aspirin, and in your "shoes" AFib-wise I'd take an aspirin each day. I take my aspirin with breakfast...just a low dose, but I am also on Warfarin.
Hey hey Bamajoe, that spinal headache is gone now, whew:). Sounds like you are already right on track with everything. I especially like that you already have the attention of an EP doc along with cardio. They'll agree, I bet, on the best course moving forward and you'll get some resolve to this whole thing. Gotta love persistence.
Hi, Lady hope you are feeling better. It is not really new for me. A dianosis is new but I have had a fib for years and never knew what it was. I would go to the ER and by the time I got there I would be back in a normal rythmn. Thankfully they built a new hospital close to my house and I was able to make it in before it quit on one occasion a few weeks ago. I have an appointment with a cardiologist coming soon and I am even going to see an EP guy soon. Although I don't have presistant a fib and from what I can tell since I am on an asprin regiment and since it is so infrequent& short-lived it is not that dangerous for me. I still hate getting it. I am going to push as hard as I can. I will be asking questions and checking into everything I can.
Time for a cardiology opinion versus a cardio-thoracic surgery opinion. Let the Cardio doc answer that one for you, and yes I would most definately look further into Afib especially if it is new for you.
