I was put on 2.5mg am and 5mgpm bystolic. I used to walk 4 miles and play good golf. I have put on weight i have no engegy to walk nor desire .My golf is now poor tired after 12 holes. any "effort tires me. Am 81 and always felt much younger. no longer. I wonder if less would make a difference. I couldn,t even finish a stress test.
On med for irregular heart . He also put me warfirin..Weight gain is not that much. A friend told me he could't take the batta blockers cause he had no energy. He also thought i should go to Cleveland Clinic here in SouthFlorida. I am going to see My Dr and ask about a lower dose like you thought. Then Perhaps call Cleveland Clinic.

I would ask the doctor about a lower dose. What are you on the medication for? If your weight gain was sudden, it should be reported to your doctor. Good luck to you.
