Input on AIVR?

I'm a 37 y/o female with 8 yr history of palpitations. I've had the work up 8 yrs ago and again in the past month due to new and increasing palpitations. I've had labs, echo, treadmill stress test, 48 hr Holster, and I'm currently on King of Hearts event monitor. In the past only PVC'S were revealed. This time I've had runs of PAC'S and my cardiologist was surprised that my event monitor showed 6 seconds of AIVR at 90 beats. She said she's baffled by this because structurally my heart is good. All my other studies were good. She's referred me to a specialist, an electrophysiologist, but my appt is a month away. I should add that I'm extra nervous about all this heart business bc my half brother died of sudden arrhythmia when he was only 28. They suspected vtach. He also seemed totally healthy. So any input on experiences or knowledge of AIVR would be greatly appreciated.

I have not heard of many people talking about it on these boards.  From what I read it usually does not indicate a need for treatment but considering your family history I think it is good you are seeing a specialist and I would insist on a complete workup of the heart to make sure you do not have something like cardiomyopathy that can complicate matters.  I know it is very scary all this heart stuff but do your best to try and not stress as much as you can as that may increase your symptoms.  Anyways, maybe someone who has experience with the issue will jump on and give you feedback.  Best of luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.
