Keep check on the BP, if it remains high talk to your doctor about taking a medication to reduce the BP to normal or lower levels.
I think you should schedule an appointment with a cardiologist for a general appraisal of your heart. Many times chest pain is not the heart, it is the muscles in the chest. But, still it should be checked out by a doctor that will give you specific diagnosis results and recommendations.
You age suggests you don't have any heart problems, but if you continue to have high BP without treatment I think you will have heart problems someday in the future.
thanks for your comment jerry, im seeing my gp tomorrow so i will ask for a cardiogly referal, just a bit anxious because there is a family history of heart disease.just wondering if the chest pain is associated with my heart murmor?
I do not think your heart murmur is associated with your heart pain.
Heart murmurs are common and almost always benign and mostly unnoticed.
