Am i getting Hep C

My left upper abdomen is always under pain for the past 3 years its like when i drink more water it stops paining or if i eat full it stops aching.. Am an alcoholic for 5 years as of now and a binge drinker for the past one year my urine is always yellow.. all the time.. if i drink water continuosly (like 10 glasses its white and if i stop it in the evening then at the night my urine again gets thickened and its orangish. I had a varicocele surgery in 2007. will that be an infection? will my liver will be spiled due to my binge drinking ?

Better rule out pancreatitis.

Like the others said you dont have hepatitis c.

Just a guess but from what you describe you most likely have cirrhosis and what you feel is your enlarged spleen.

No one here is a doctor and can't diagnose your condition. Make an appointment with a GI doctor for tests.

"hepatitis" is a generic term, generally meaning inflamation of the liver.  There are many flavors of hepatitis, including Hepatitis C.  Presence of Hepatitis C, caused by a virus,  is by a lab test.  It looks like you don't need the hepatitis C virus.

It may be presumptuous of me to presume you would like help to stop drinking but if that is the case the link below may be helpful.

pain in upper left side is probably from your stomach , but generally i would worry about your liver from what you said , haven't you heard about alcoholic cirrhosis

First of all, your liver is on your right side.  I'd be looking at your kidney.  Potentially you're dehydrating yourself with all the alcohol you're taking in.  So stands to reason when you drink more water you notice things improving.

Beyond that, I wouldn't know if you have anything else going on.

You clearly have access to the internet. Did you do any research on how a person gets Hep C?  That's probably a good idea if you want to know something.  Anyway....you get Hep C from infected blood directly entering your bloodstream.  Not from drinking alcohol.

Certainly though you're not helping your liver by being an alcoholic.  Or anything else for that matter.
