Finally!

Going for my first biopsy 2-14. Happy Valentine's Day to me :) just pray there's no damage at this point. Then I will start treatment for Hepc 2b. No waiting around to start treatment!  Life's too short to wait around for the next or newest treatment!  Lets do this ;) prayers are welcome for no liver damage! Thanks!

I'm not sure either,  but like she said I could wait 6months to a year or go ahead and start depending on the biopsy.  She did say the meds were specifically for type 2b. And 3. So we'll see!!! But thanks, Im sure I'll be fine. :) Lots of support here! Thanks everyone :)

New treatment in 6 months without interferon? Not sure what kind since theres has not been anything yet summitted to the FDA yet. Last I heard it would be maybe started later this year and the Dosing sometime in early 2014 which would mean at the soonest approval would be mid 2014.

Good luck on the Biopsy, you should do fine.....

The part that makes me so nervous is a week after my mom had her liver biopsy she started throwing clots left and right and passed away a week later. So that's where the nerves come into play. I'm probably going to wait on treatment at least 6 months due to the new treatment without the interferon. So I can actually work during treatment its 3 pills a day with little to no side affects. That's the plan anyway, things could change by Thursday evening. :) praying it doesn't though!  Cheers right back at ya! ;)

Try not to worry about biopsy. It sounds worse than it is and it will be over before you know it. Then you will know the stage of your liver disease. Based on that, you can determine whether you need to treat now or not.

Cheers!

Thanks! I'm praying it goes smooth, but my nerves are getting the best of me. Unfortunately I have to wait just as long as the next person because of the pathology side of it. As far as labs that's what I do LOL so I get those first hand except the viral load it goes to Quest :-/. But all will be well and ima beat the **** out of this hepc!  :0)

Yay I am glad things are falling into place for you. I would want to know the stage of fibrosis I am as well. My first biopsy was no big deal. Hope yours is like that too. Hope working in a hospital somehow means you might not have to wait over long for the results. :)  :)
