Considering 3-drug TX

I am considering starting the 3-drug (Incivek) TX; and trying to find someone who is in the same position or is already on this TX.

Hi !,
I am trying to get started with the Telap and SOC - I will see my Dr on Monday to find out the next step - I had allot of tests done and I'm ready but not sure how much my insurance will cover. We can go through this together - Since I was treated about 5 years ago and relapsed, I know what its going to be like, so - Let the party begin!!!....Fred

Dear PPA

Welcome to the funny farm!

Did you have a biopsy yet?  Most of us were infected 20-30 years ago too. I just did regular old treatment because at the time these drugs weren't around. It took 72 weeks for me to get rid of the disease but it worked. And I met some really great people in here that have become real friends. That never hurts :D

You'll get used to the site and then they'll change it again ;)

Good luck
Deb

Thanks for your answer, Dave.  I am treatment naive; hoping that is good for starting TX now. Considering I was infected 36 years ago, this is a slow moving virus.  Still getting familiar with the site; but it looks great, and an awful lot to read.

Welcome to the forum. Many people here are starting tx with the new drugs and many have been in the trials. I completed triple tx with victrelis 12 weeks ago in a clinical trial.

If you have specific questions you will probably get plenty of answers. Maybe posting something about your condition and disease progression and if you have treated before would help.

Best of luck to you,
Dave

If you read through some old threads here you will find many who have been on the 3-drug regiment through trials.  Only a few have received a prescription and have started treating with them, not in a trial.  This is a good place to find out -- just go to the archives and plug in boceprevir or telaprevir.
