post treatment question to all

Anyone that has completed Sovaldi/Olysio experiencing joint and body pain...and tailbone pain.I had an injury to my back in 2007...fell down a complete flight of subway stairs...but have never felt pain like this until after my treatment.

I have not been feeling well nearly 4 weeks EOT - that has had me worrying but I talked to some breast cancer survivor friends today who told me that it took Months for the chemo to leave their bodies and to begin to feel "normal"

I know it's not the same treatment but these drugs are very powerful (otherwise they couldn't kill a killer disease like Hep C) and the treatment does have side effects for some (or most?) even after you stop taking the meds.

I've also noticed that the docs don't seem to want to talk too much about post treatment sides because?

So, just like treatment itself, I'm takin it one day at a time and hoping to feel better + reach SVR

I experienced the same shortly after finishing treatment. Worst muscle and joint pain I've ever experienced. I thought I had relapsed for sure. My primary doc ran a CRP test to check for inflammation which came back normal. Really seems to flare up if I'm dehydrated or have any caffeine/sugar, basically eating things I shouldn't.

I felt that the treatment definitely stressed the liver while I was on it. Gained about five pounds. All blood work looks good except glucose went up a bit and platelets went down 4 points which I can't afford. So there's the chance the cure might come at the cost of some damage. Hoping that focusing on staying healthy things will get consistently better.

i know this threas is addressing post treatment, but I saw your note about insomnia and thought I would mention (still on treatment - Sol/ RIB) that I use EITHER one 4 mg Chlortrimitin (Chlorpheniramine Maleate) OR one 25 mg Benadryl (Diphenhydramine HCI / Anthhistamine -I use  the dye free Liqi-Gels). at bedtime to help me get to sleep. Once asleep, unless I need a bathroom trip, I sleep all night.

someone on another post usggested the Benadryl or 1/2 of am Ambien (which I have not tried).  

Hope this helps -  and in December, I may be asking about sides after treatment unless the Forum has already provided the info (like here).  : -)

Finished S/O 12 treatment on April 17,2014.Had bloodwork on April 24,May 14 and just saw my gastro doctor on June 18...still clear;however,really have my fingers crossed.Haven't been feeling so good lately.Body pain,stiffness...very troubling.Trying to stay as positive as possible and hoping for continued SVR.Grateful for results and possible prolonged SVR; really trying to remain optimistic.Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated,also.

I also finished 12 weeks of S&O a week ago and no aches and pains but insomnia which started right after beginning treatment is still very much present.

Am having stomach issues, but I had them before too, just noticing again, my stomach /IBS was actually better on treatment , weird as that is
Now I am back to myself

I think that now we go back to what we came in with :-)
