When I was googling, trying to find out different reports from the EASL, I came across the reports about this new drug that was being investigated for treatment of Hep C. Apparently, in a small study, it showed a good response rate to the viral loads w/SOC, if I'm reading it correctly. It looks like they're moving on to Phase II studies up in Canada for naive patients. I'm hoping that it turns out well and that they come on down to the U.S. I'm trying to watch out for something down the road besides Telaprevir, since I won't qualify for any of their next phases of trials. I was turned down for any of the later trials coming up. Which in my opinion is unfair, since I already allowed them to make me their G-pig and was randomized into Group C the no-Riba group. I feel that they should allow us Prove 3/Group C people who (most of us were non-SVR), the opportunity to treat with all 3 drugs. But, since they won't, I've got to 'keep my options open', which is what I've been told to do. I was told to keep on investigating other trials and trial centers. So, if any of you hear about anything else out there for me to look into, I'd certainly appreciate it.
