Water/Seltzer water

Hi, I started S/O 4 days ago and the special pharmacy nurse told me to drink at least six 8 oz glasses of water a day. I love seltzer water, would anyone think there's a difference? So far on this combo I have no sx unlike the other tx that had me on my knees.

Regards
Charlie

Hi Aquisi, I'm on day 5 myself with the S/O and I was wondering the same thing. My best guess is filtered tap water is best but I seriously don't think some Pellegrino mixed in is going to hurt anything. :) Not sure what the difference in Pellegrino and seltzer water is though. It's probably better to stay away from tonic water though cause of the quinine. My doctor said it's okay to use tonic water for cramping but otherwise I don't think it would be "good" for you.

However, I think we need more water. My doctor recommended a minimum of 8 - 8 oz glasses daily and I pretty much always have water by my side.
Here's to our being undetected in another 11 weeks. :)

The only suggestion I have is to check the sodium content especially if you have cirrhosis

Good luck with treatment

Good idea flyinlynn, I do have cirrhosis, checked and no sodium in selzter water, just thought maybe the carbonation may be a problem, I really don't think so...Just wanted opinions. Thanks, cheers to our treatment Jack.

Congrats on starting S/O tx! Oh that bubbly water. Gotta love it. I drink it all the time. It doesn't act any different than regular flat water. I drink Pelligrino or similar. No sodium and some minerals.

So happy you 2 started the S/O tx. I'm quickly approaching half way through S/O tx and this beats doing nothing. Doc just congratulated me for being UD "so far". All my numbers look good except for the darn platelets.

I'm going to finish the last half of tx juicing carrots everyday for my liver. I pray this UD lasts forever.
