SVR and damage reversal

has anyone SVR'd and then had a biop later on to determine if damage to the liver has been reversed?  isnt it true that as long as you are not cirrotic the liver can heal itself?

Why yes. . . the liver can repair itself to an amazing degree post SVR.

A longitudinal study of people who treated and gained SVR  revealed the liver does heal itself. Biopsies were compared pre-tx and five years post. . . the results are amazing.

There are some bx pics about halfway down the page where even the untrained eye can see a big difference.

Does anyone know of a thread that discusses post SVR issues on this board??? I thought I read that someone other  than me is interested in a discussion of life post SVR.

Read Andimo's post on the other side  Gives me hope I do not think he had a post bx but he seems to have a life again after SVR  I have read a post a while back where there was a discussion on post bx  I do not think it is a normal proceedure as the risk of bx but in the future we will have I am sure Fibroscan available once the FDA approves it and there are experienced techs to read the results
