I would delay the start if you were scheduled to start right away, but by 2 weeks from now you should have had more than enough time to recover - unless you develop a secondary infection. I'd wait until 3-4 days before tx and then, if in doubt, ask your doctor. Good luck, and I hope you are fully recovered soon!

Hey there,
Just a little feedback for you; I think there are different scenarios to consider. I f your health in general is good, you will recover from the flu and be ready to start your treatment. Personally. I always listen to my body and respect that. If you are on triple tx with incivek, that is a big whammy on the body, to initiate. I was on boceprevir so I had a 4 week lead in period. I hardly noticed the meds the first week.
If you have flexibility and need to delay your start, do that. I had done so much work to get to the starting pt., that I was pretty gung- ho to begin.

Everybody responds differently to the meds. I did get the flu, while on tx. and that did not interfere with anything other than I took a sick day and slept. Now that I think back, that was the only time I slept well, 3 days in bed.

Get well and best wishes on your treatment,
C
