Boceprevir Screening News

Hi all.just got back from my initial screening for preparation to do the BOC trial and i have some interesting things i found out:
1.They will not only allowboth  rescue drugs, but they will even supply them for me,the one for the low red blood count that which is called Procit, but they will not supply the drug for the white cells,neupgen..sorry...spelling..

2.At the end of the trial, and it is determined i have been given the plecbo drugs, they will give the  BOC again with all the REAL DRUGS ,but i have to wait 6 monthhs after the EOT ...amazing
3.Absoulety not illicit street drugs what so ever anytime or you get the boot....no MJ either.

4.I will be supplied a PDA to record the exact times i take the BOC pills.thats a mini computer for those not to savvy with technology...LOL

..............thats about it i think....

Hmmm. Maybe they are diffrent then. I am in the USA I am in Atlanta GA. I was looking at clinical trials. gov after they called me to look it up and I think the one i am participating in is enrolling a little over 1,000. I am not sure though. I was just so excited that they called me that I didnt ask to many questions because my doctor and I had already talked about it when he asked me if he could put my name on the list. I have a call in to the the Research lady at my doctors office so I will be finding out more soon hopefully.

That's all around good news about taking part in the trial, I'm glad to see that you're getting everything sorted out.  Get used to the blood letting, the lab takes gallons on a regular basis.  Your list of checkups sounds just like mine, it must be standard fare.

Has the doctor given you a start date yet?

Yeah!!  "How long was the appointment and what did they have you do"?  I got my eyeballs on that trial, as well, name on the list as well.  I ain't superstitious but a black cat crossed my trial before, the telaprevir trial.  lol  My status is on my profile...  later
