Thanks for comments.  I am sure looking forward to feeling better.  Virus und at 12, 24 and 36 weeks.  Will be checked again this week.  Side effects have been fatigue, severe anemia, irritability and a general feel of malaise.  VL was 1896327 at start, geno 1b.  glad to be und so far.  Wish I had found this forum earlier.  It is not an easy thing to go through, but so far the results have made it well worth it.

Depends...

I mean - how bad were your side effects?

It takes awhile - up to a year to get the treatment medicines out of your system.

Some people stop taking the meds and feel instantly better.

Some of us feel worse daily - or one step forward - three steps back...

Then it sort of evens out.

I would say I'm at 90% at my pre-treatment level --- when I felt good.

Now throw in Neuropathy and throw in a decade of time --- and heck - I'm feeling pretty darned good.

Some folks are like Frank J. Perotta -  and they have HORRIBLE - Permanent problems...

Others are --- wohooo - I feel great.

So --- me - I'm inbetween.

Hope all is well - you can expect blood tests every couple of months (4 weeks, 12 weeks - 6 months one year --- 2 year...)

It also depends on if you've tamed or killed your dragon.

I mean if you didn't kill it and go UND ---- then chances are you will not feel better because it will be coming back and your body has to fight it off now that the meds are out of your system.

But if you did go UND --- and you reach SVR --- then chances are you'll feel about 90% better by a year's time.

Most folks feel better around 3 months POST TX.

Hugs to ya!
