Not sure if your husband has to stay at his present job but it may be beneficial to switch to a company that offers health insurance. Group insurance typically covers pre-exsiting conditions.

Hi there, and welcome to the discussion group. It’s likely that individual insurance would deny on the grounds of preexisting condition, assuming you could buy it. Things are changing though, and laws are changing quickly; talk to an insurance agent and see what’s new right now.
HCV treatment can be rather pricey; in the range of $USD 50,000 - $200,000 per year. There is help available with the medications if insurance isn’t available; the manufacturers provide patient assistance to those that can’ afford the drugs.
Another course of action might be entering into clinical trial; there are ongoing studies worldwide, although there are pros and cons involved with trial participation as well.
