This question is probably the most difficult to answer because there's so many factors that go into deciding whether to tx or not. Have you looked at your biopsy reading or did the doctor simply tell you what stage or grade you are? There are alot of doctors who don't advise txing until you get further along and that can be dangerous. Over 1 million on your viral load doesn't really mean that much in determining when to tx. You have to weigh all health issues together meaning how is your blood work, ALT, AST, platelets and how you feel? If you're way above the normal ranges on your LFT's then maybe you should really consider going thru tx. I suggest you call your doctor's office like tomorrow and get copies of your blood work and your liver biopsy and tell us what they say. That way you will be able to see the urgency in txing if that's the case. Come back with more info so we can do this right. good luck
Ask your doctor if you can wait 6 months or so until the new Protease Inhibitor drugs are supposed to come out with a much higher chance of clearing than the current traditional drugs.... Why suffer through two treatments if the traditional drugs don't clear you? Good luck...

wait for new meds coming out next year. get on board with a hepatologist beginning of new year to make a plan for treatment.
best of luck
