sick after heavy work

has any one experienced this.
Anytime I do alot of work, gardening, housework lots of sweating I am very sick the next day.
I had a baby shower for my dau yesterday and one of my friends whos dad is on tx told me to slow down and let others do some of the work because I'm going to crash and burn and tmo you'll be really sick.
Well....she was right I was so sick today I just got out of bed about 5pm and it is now 9pm and ready for bed again.
Is it a coincidence or Does heavy work cause you to get really sick the next day while on tx?

I think one of the hardest hurdles to get over is slowing down.
I am paying for it now.  I've been home from work for 2 days now, I am feeling better though.
MerryBe-Thanks for that info, I didnt know higher circulation would cause higher absorption of inf.
Its hard to guage when too much is too much especially if you were very active b4 tx.
Like they say live and learn or crash and burn.
I cant say enough good thinks about this forum, everyone has so much information. your all great.

Ladybug, same thing with me.  You will recognize the good days when they come your way.  I have learned not to over do it the hard way.  When I feel myself starting to get tired I quit what I am doing and take a break, sit down and relax.  By not pushing myself I am actually able to get the task done and feel ok the next day.  There are going to be some days that you know your going to pay and you will.  Sometimes its worth it.

I have that problem also. I am undergoing my 2nd tx now and in my 3rd week. I went fishing and snorkeling for scallops this weekend and really over did it, way too much physical excertion and time in the sun. I am paying for it now, it took all I had to make it to work the past two days, but I'm here.

Dehydration - without working and sweating even, is one of our biggest problems while on treatment.  Even with all the water you drink you STILL are severely dehydrated from the meds.

You just HAVE to learn to take it easy bugolagirl - I know it's something as an adult that is very difficult to do (change your patterns) but you HAVE to for the time being.

Remember - it is only temporary but you just have to take care of yourself right now.

You don't want to have to stop treatment because you get that physically sick do you?

Definately worried about that-August in Florida is not good. I am worried sweating will lead to the rash and one thing after another-downhill from there.

I'm not going outside until the end of September!!

I agree-hydration is the key.

Thanks, mb-for the more scientific explanation.  I didn't know that about increased absorption rates of inf with excercise.

i experienced the same thing. long, hot and humid days outdoors made me crash the next couple of days. i think dehydration might have been the reason.

hard to say, is your VL gone?
excertion is known to have effects of HCV people, maybe due to VL, maybe due to many having lower HGH and ergo slower repair times.
Certainly the lower red blood counts will make you tired while doing or attempting to do things, but that's more immediate.
If you are having fevers the next day that sounds more like either a rebound in VL from your body being tired and worn out, or an autoimmune response due to the same.
It could also be that increased circulation from all the excercise could cause a higher absorption rate of the INF that day, which can also cause flu/fever symptoms.
I think lots of us get worn out, wiped out really from doing very little.
For me it was that way before tx, and even more so on tx because now the body deals with tons of poison on top of all alse. I guess this is why the tx is not one everyone jumps on the bandwagon for....it does take a toll.
