red hands

I still have 2 weeks before my doc appt.  I noticed the palms of my hands are always red.  I have copd so I lean against my register at work to help me breathe better.  Now I'm wondering if it's a sign of liver damage or am I just driving myself crazy with worry.  My hands have been red for a while but didn't think any thing of it until  I was diagnosed with hepc 1a.

Every time I go to my3-6 month check up they turn my hands palm up and look at them. I often wondered why and keep forgetting to ask, they also look at the top of my back. So, it must be of some significance, I would show your doctor if he does not already look.

don't get stressed about the red palm thing. I went through the same thing and found myself looking at everyones palms to see if they were red like mine. When i showed the doc he laughed and showed me his palms and they looked no different then mine. Turns out I didn't have severe liver damage.
Yes it can be a sign of liver damage but many more things can cause red palms, hormones, etc.
There are more important things then red palms that indicate liver damage.
Try and relax.
Best of luck

Yes when I went to the specialist in NYC he freaked out completely because the palms of my hands were orangish.  Finally he realized that I'd been using self tanner and that was the problem (since have learned better about that) but he was like please don't ever do this to a heptologist again you gave me a heart attack.

Yes I'm a doofus but I hadn't known about it ......... you should contact your doctor I'm sure either way.

Choose a different choice on google.  Not the one that brings you back here.  That thread is not really descriptiv of the situation.   PE can be indicative of liver disease.  Make sure you show it to the doc when your appt. comes up.

There are two reasons that quickly occur to me.  The more likely is 'palmar erythema' - google it.
