Could it be false positive??

I have been in pain for a week. i used nair a week ago and it started stinging when i urinated the same day. I assumed it was a reaction. I went to dr's two days later and she said it was hair folical infections. Ended up in Urgent care same night with flu like symptoms.. they said they think its herpes.they did a culture and told me results be back in 2 days After no answer and the pain meds not helping. I couldn't walk, couldnt pee without it hurting, and missed work for three days, went back to dr. He said he didnt think it was herpes. By the seventh day i was unable to pee, i think it was anxiety about the pain. I went to ER and while i was there the urgent care called and said test was positive. I told ER and they treated me for it.

Anyway it could be a false positive???

do you know what type you have yet?  we only recommend daily suppressive therapy for hsv2.

did they test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally when you were seen today?

went to the doctors. She did an external and internal exam. She says lesions are gone. I'm still a little inflamed. I'm still itchy. She also did an internal swab and said she would call with the results. waiting for the phone call. She gave me meds in case i feel a breakout coming on. I go back in 2 weeks to discuss suppression therapy. Anyone have any thought on suppression therapy? should i go with it or not? Still trying to find something to relieve itching, it has gotten better but i definitely have some type of infection internally becasue i can feel the infection coming out. Well i'll let you know what the results are.
When i go back in 2 weeks to discuss therapy is there anything else i should be asking her about??
thanks

I am not knowledable much on the female challenges.  LOL.  I believe BV is kind of hard to beat from what I have seen here.  Let us know what the doctor states though.

I already had the lesions swabbed and then i called and had them test the type. Will get the results from that tuesday when I go. I am going to tell my doctor that I think it is BV and have her test for it. I was on medicine for BV when the outbreak started. Could it be back or not gone away? I am glad to be seeing a doctor finally, the last dr i saw was in the ER two weeks ago. And this is my doctor so she will take the time and figure everything out for me.

Having them test for the issues of yeast and bv is the best course of action.  If he feels herpes is a cause he can swab the lesions though the culutre may not be accurate due to the time of the symptoms have been going.

It was just a phone call. I have an appointment on tuesday. I'll let everyone knows how it goes. They should have the type then as well.
Is there anything i should be telling/ asking my doctor? Anything I should have her give me?
