test results-seems likely

BB6
Sorry if I'm not doing this right by posting another question here.  I didn't know if anyone would answer on my old post.  My tests came back like this:

IGG
1) .16  and 2) .67

This was after about 40 days...

Type 2 was at .17 before...which means by 4 mos I should have a positive, right?  Seems like the antibodies are building...

I ask, because my symptoms were classic minus the blisters.  I think I was in denial, and everybody was trying to be super cool and make me feel better by saying that it wasn't herpes.

Negative is negative with anything under 0.9. You are negative based on those results. If you've only waited 40 days, it is premature to be certain. 4 months is when you can pretty much put it to bed if it's negative.

And no, a higher or fluctuating number doesn't mean anything. It has to do with the body's immune response it makes against a virus at that point in time, and that differs from person to person.

Nobody was being super cool, because nobody can give a visual diagnosis. Only proper testing can diagnose herpes - of which you've had.

That does not mean that at all. The test varies and anything in the negative range is negative. Now if you have a third test in a month and it is positive, then you have a pattern there. Just have to wait and see, but right now you can't say that for sure.
