Herpes Confusion/Question

Hey everyone, I asked a question under "kcatx" in the STD's forum and everything was answered. But I need an answer to one more thing if that's cool.

My risk is 10 days away from being two months ago and was mutual masturbation done to me and genital rubbing, no oral (the mans lips touched my penis for literally one second and I told him I was uncomfortable with that, and he went in for a kiss but I wasn't ready for one and told him I was uncomfortable with that also. No anal or anything like that. When I asked if he had HIV or anything like that (before we did anything) he admitted he was HIV positive but we'd be practicing safe sex and that anything I was uncomfortable with he would not do.

So while we were rubbing genitals my skin right below the head of my penis ripped a little from being stretched too much, it was paper cut size. I freaked out about the whole HIV thing but all my questions were answered there.

I asked him if he had any other STD's and he assured me that he was clean. He did have a partner for 6 years that had Herpes but he told me they were always safe about it and he never contracted it. I have high anxiety and asked if he had paperwork to show he was clean, he did and since he is HIV positive he gets blood work done every 3 months or so and they test for all other STD's as well. He showed me the paperwork and it said "non reactive" I then went to the doctor yesterday for something unrelated and told him of the situation, he works with HIV/STD's a lot and inspected my penis and said that I have no sign of STD's on my genitals and that if I had Herpes it would of shown up by now. I was extremely relieved until later that day the tip of my urethra felt irritated and burned a little bit. Doesn't burn while urinating or anything but when my boxers press against it or rub against it it has a tiny burning sensation. This sparked my anxiety all over again.. So after all that.. my question is:

After having no breakouts or anything (that I know of) for nearly two months and having my penis examined by a doctor with experience in this area who said I was fine and didn't need to worry because symptoms would of shown by now, I'm confused as to why I've read people can go years without symptoms. Wouldn't he of warned me about this and say I needed to test just to be sure? Or is this VERY rare? I'd love to test for it but can't afford the 100$ test at the moment and I just want to be sure I don't have anything, to calm my nerves. The only other symptoms I've had are jock it around the penis and inner thighs, itch spots on hand that I scratched very hard and ending up getting a scab and my left nostril is a  little little puffed up and itches.

Thank you Grace for your help on this, I'm hoping that it's a bacterial infection, hopefully stemming from the fungus infection I have already.

I have to wait until Friday for my results but I'll try and relax about it now, thank you! Longest week of my life lol :P

you didn't get herpes or syphilis from this encounter.

This probably a bacterial infection going on.  You can even give yourself those from using your hands to look at your naughty bits all the time when you are worried about something showing up on them.

When we did our genital to genital rubbing I saw his penis off to the side so I'm pretty sure it didn't touch mine, if it did is it a bigger risk?

This is the first sexual activity I have ever had.

Thanks for replying btw, I really appreciate it!

you aren't going to contract herpes from mutual masturbation.

have you ever had sex before this ever?

Hey Daisy!

thanks for replying to that, I decided to get over the Herpes thing, which my doctor told me to do as well. UNTIL I woke up yesterday and noticed a purple ulcer on the shaft of my penis. I didn't notice anything the day before (and I'm always checking lol) and as soon as I saw it I went to the doctor. The ulcer doesn't hurt and if I wouldn't of checked for anything, I wouldn't of noticed it. I get itching but on my scrotum.

the doctor said he didn't know what it could be, might be from Herpes or Syphilis so he took a culture swab and sent it out and I took blood tests yesterday as well. There was no blister or anything, and no bumps that I could see prior to this. I get burning sensations on my inner thighs, but I have/had jock itch. I started using prescription cream for redness on my penis that the doctors though might be fungus. Could this be Herpes? ugh right when I was getting over it lol -____-

I think you're overreacting it's highly unlikely that you contracted Herpes from the encounter you describe ..... but if you are going to continue to stress to this level then save up and get a test done and put your mind at rest once and for all it's just not healthy to carry on thinking about this day and night particualrly when your risk was very low .....
