extreme itchyness

hi can anyone help me. in 2008 i had a lesion on my Penile shaft on the outer skin, with swollen lymph nodes. after one or two days it burst and became like an ulcer. took 7 days to heal completely. i had consulted with my doctor and they say i have contracted with HSV type 2. since then i had this out break once every year. but since 2008 i always experience itchiness on my penile head. some time can see visible red bumps then disappears after 1 or 2 days. my inner skin look flaky dry and glossy sometime in red color. can anyone help me how to make the itchiness go away.

A visual diagnosis only is only helpful for treating that ob. you need to be following up with a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is. your provider erred greatly in not order that testing as follow up to confirm their visual diagnosis.

there is no herpes test was done on me, but the doctor assured me it was a herpes infection.then the doctor gave a anti viral dosage. i had only 4 outbreak in 4 years time. but the outbreak will only last for 4 - 5 days then it will heal completely.
For the irritation
i have tried antifungal cream for the irritation. it will get better but after a week or so it will come back. so time cheesy like stuff will collect under the foreskin that is the time it itch extremely. is there any other cream would you suggest me to use.

let's start at the beginning - what herpes testing was done on you?

just itchiness and small bumps is probably irritation if not a reoccurring fungal infection. have you had this looked at recently?
