herpes spread through make up?!?!?

Several weeks ago, I got a cold sore on the corner of my lip (nothing unusual, I have been getting them for years). At that time, I was going out and used qtip (cotton swab) to apply some compact cream make up to cover it. I can not remember if I used the same qtip to get more concealer after using it on the cold sore, but worst case I did.
Today in a rush I grabbed the same make up container (which I haven't used since, I meant to throw it away) and used my finger to apply it to the  dark circles under my eyes. Am I at any risk for spreading herpes to my under eye area?
Please help!
Thank you.

it can live a few hours but this really wasn't a risk for you.

Do you know how long can the virus live on a makeup compact?

You won't spread an established herpes infection to other parts of your body.
