Rabies Fear

Alright, last Friday night I went to a football game. It was at night. I was standing under a fairly large tree waiting for my friend to get his food. Suddenly, I felt a drop of liquid in my mouth, I don't remember if my mouth was open but my mouth is open most of the time for no reason. I didn't give it a second thought, but I once I got home my mind suddenly went to rabies. What if the drop of liquid was saliva from a rabid animal like a bat. Ever since I've been breaking down, I feel stressed and scared. I keep getting flashes of anxiety and I have this weight of sadness. My mouth also feels very dry. There was quite a lot of people and noise, so I didn't really notice anything besides the fact I got a drop of something in my mouth.

Something very similar happened to me. I was walking at night and I felt something moist brushed against my face. I freaked out thinking it was a bat, with rabies nonetheless. That was months ago. I even called infectious disease control. I'm fine, so you should probably be okay too.

Well, we are not doctors on here but I am a microbiologist and can give advice. Since you didn't see any animal it is highly unlikely there was a bat in the tree and that you got saliva from the bat in your mouth. It may have been sap from the tree or fruit.  I wouldn't worry about it.
