thankyou so much ,I didn't go ahead and have the botox as I have cerival cancer ,, in 2012 I had 8 chemos 32 radiations and 4 internal radiations , it all seemed to work great ,, but 5 months ago my cancer has come back , it has spread into the vagina now ,, so I didn't think it was wise to have botox , just incase my dr wants me to start chemo again ,, but I think I would have tried anything , I have been to many dr s about my pain , but nothing seemed to work unless I was just drugged ,,on morphine ,, shingles in my eye has been the most painful thing I have ever had in my life it was like someone was tipping acid in my eye and on half of my head , now the nerve damage ,wow ,,I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone ,im using a chilli oil I brought in bali for $1 a bottle , and it works so good ,plus I take my lyria 2x a day ,,,i just pray the shingles don't come back , thank you so much
Hi,
I understand your concern regarding your symptoms. Postherpetic neuralgia, a nerve pain that occurs at the site of a previous attack of shingles may continue 3-6 months after the shingles rash has healed.
If you continue to have pain, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Most people respond to prescription medication such as analgesics. For botox, additional studies may need to be done to determine if it is effective Talk to your doctor also about this for proper evaluation. Take care an do keep us posted.
